1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using GHOOST ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

You must be at least 13 years old to use GHOOST. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age.

2. Description of Service

GHOOST is a reverse-social application that allows users to:

  • Create and share "secrets" (posts) with blurred content
  • Unlock secrets shared by others using QR code scanning
  • Track engagement on their posts (views, unlocks)
  • Participate in referral programs and viral sharing

Content Expiration: Posts may expire after 24 hours by default. Once expired, content may no longer be accessible.

3. User Accounts

GHOOST uses anonymous authentication. You are not required to provide personal information to create an account. A unique user ID and username will be generated automatically.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you create and post on GHOOST. By posting content, you grant Cybo Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content for the purpose of operating and improving the App.

4.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to post content that:

  • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): Any content depicting, promoting, or glorifying child sexual abuse, content that sexualizes minors, grooming behavior, or distribution of CSAM. See our Child Safety Policy
  • Is illegal, harmful, or violates any applicable law
  • Contains harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech
  • Includes explicit sexual content or nudity without consent
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains spam, malware, or deceptive content
  • Promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
  • Shares personal information of others without consent (doxxing)

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and to terminate accounts of repeat offenders.

5. Privacy

Your use of GHOOST is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

6. Intellectual Property

GHOOST, including its logo, design, features, and technology (such as QR code watermarking), is the property of Cybo Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our written permission.

7. Sharing and Referrals

GHOOST includes features for sharing content and referring new users:

  • You can share your posts via social media platforms
  • Referral links allow you to invite friends and earn rewards
  • Install attribution may be tracked for referral purposes

You agree not to abuse the referral system through fraudulent means, including creating fake accounts or using automated tools.

8. Third-Party Services

GHOOST uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Backend infrastructure for authentication, database, and storage
  • Google ML Kit: On-device QR code scanning (no data sent to Google)

We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

GHOOST is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Content will be preserved beyond the expiration period
  • All features will be available at all times

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cybo Ltd and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (if any) or GBP 100, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using GHOOST at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately, and we may delete your account and content.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom.
